These three oil on canvas paintings hang as tapestries. Bronze finials are on each end, top and bottom of the works. The borders of the paintings reference Tibetan Sand Mandalas.
Based on the book by Sogyal Rinpoche, each painting represents a concept:
The Truth of Impermanence: that all things are in a state of constant flux, change, disintegration and transformation.
Aversion and Attachment: that much of our suffering is self imposed and is the result of what we are attached to or are trying to avoid.
Servants of Peace: to aspire to be one of the peacemakers of the world, united in prayer and reverence, overcoming ones base nature to contribute positively to all life. |
